Within over 10.000 global operating furnaces, NOLZEN is one of the most experienced and establihed companies in this industry. Wie offer chamber and stove cart furnaces, salt bath furnaces, paternoster furnaces as well es specialised furnaces, that are both energy efficient and custom-made to your requierments.
We deliver standard furnaces as well as customer-specific solutions in electric or gas-heated versions for temperatures up to 1350°C. Our core business includes shaft, stove cart and chamber furnaces for large-volume components and high batch weights. Shaft furnaces for nitriding, hardening and annealing in particular have already been implemented in sizes up to Ø 4.500 mm or 11.000 mm in depth. We manufacture stove cart and chamber furnaces in all dimensions (up to 50 m³ of usable space and batch weights over 100 t) as per customer request.
Our history – tradition meets innovation
SThe Nolzen family has been in business for four generations: always imaginative, quality-conscious, and customer-oriented. Our motto has never changed: “Do all you can do for our customer!”
Our company’s roots still lie in Ronsdorf / Wuppertal, a region that was well known for its ribbon weaving in the 19th century. At this time, Nolzen was involved in dyeing hat bands and used the close river called Morsbach for its production. The Ronsdorf ribbons enjoyed great popularity from Berlin to Budapest all up to Paris. Even then the center of our work has always been our satisfied customers.

Corporate group: strong together into a bright future
In February 2023, NOLZEN has faced a major challenge: provisionally insolvency. Thanks to an investor, who believend in the company, the long-time customer trust and strong commitment of Felix Nolzen and his team, NOLZEN has been successfully continued under the management of Felix, since June 2023.
It was an important step to integrate NOLZEN into KUSTAN GmbH. KUSTAN is an owner-managed company-group within over 40 years of experience in plastic plant engineering.
It is an international orientated group with over 180 employees located on 4 different places in Germany, that’s specialised in special plants and constructions made of thermoplastics for water, chemicals, air and technology.
There has been created a future focussed alliance, thanks to the addition of the NOLZEN industrial furnace into the existing KUSTAN portfolio. Together we create new synergies, expand our range of services and are able offer new opportunities to our national and international customers.
